There are many big questions in science, mostly starting with ‘why’ and then leading on to ‘how’.
One of the biggest questions, given that we know we are all made of atoms, is about why atoms
exist as atoms at all and hence why matter exists. After all, if everything in the universe is made
up of positive, negative and neutral particles, then why don’t all the positives and negatives get
attracted to each other and the whole cosmos coalesce into a giant blob?
Introduction
Occam’s Razor
So, let’s get started
Because Fredrik Nygaard’s books are where I began with this, I would urge anyone here to first
read his books. He covers a much wider range of topics including photon physics, magnetism,
optics, planets, stars, the universe and more, whereas I have here developed only the areas
relating to electric force and atomic structure.
Having been inspired and intrigued by Fredrik Nygaard’s excellent ‘The Aether of Particles’ and
‘Aether Physics’ books and now armed with a new mind set, I wanted a better understanding of
the ‘how’ of the electric force. As the single force governing the universe, it surely merits a
high degree of rigorous examination and explanation. His theory includes an explanation for
this which proposes that some types of neutrino collision are inelastic and result in the bounced
neutrinos leaving the electric field. After a lot of thought, I realised that his theory also provides
scope for an alternative interpretation. That alternative, presented here, is one in which his
neutrinos have somewhat different properties; surface texture attributes are replaced with
charge imprints; all collisions are considered to be elastic regardless of polarity and, after
collision, there is no requirement for neutrinos to leave the field. This then leads naturally to
different explanations for a range of areas including the electric field itself, the nuclear binding
force, atomic structure, the size of the proton and gravity. All of which is set out in the following
pages.
In the spirit of ‘walking on the shoulders of giants’, my starting point is from his underlying
propositions about the aether, voids, the three fundamental particles, neutrino footprints and
electron-positron pair production from photons. Because my alternative interpretations here are
developed from those foundations, I’ve included several references to his work for fuller
explanation and to acknowledge it as the basis for my own propositions. I hope that the net
result will be that it may stimulate others to take a fresh look at things, as it did me.
